Dear St. Joan of School Alumni/ae

We want to assure you that St. Joan of Arc School is alive and well! With an enrollment in excess of five hundred students, we are proud to have one of the strongest parochial schools in Queens County. Enrollment is one thing, but even more important is what we still offer to the parents and children of Jackson Heights. Our school exists primarily to share the precious gift of our Catholic Faith. Because of the radical decrease in religious vocations, we no longer have with us any Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart; nonetheless, our dedicated lay staff still continues the Sisters' tradition of passing our Catholic heritage to the future generations.

In addition to Faith formation, our school offers a full academic range. Our children have the normal grade school subjects but those subjects are enhanced by a comprehensive foreign language program, offering French, Spanish and Italian; and non-elective art, music and gym programs. The school also employs a full-time special needs teacher in order to assist those boys and girls who require some additional assistance in their studies.

Our parishioners recognize the great value of our school and their generosity helps us to maintain the lowest tuition in the area. In that way, parents of modest means are able to consider a St. Joan of Arc education for their children. In an age in which we hear constantly of school closures and realignments, we want to keep St Joan of Arc School strong and still within the means of our hard-working parents. In order to continue to achieve that goal, we must turn occasionally to our alumni/ae. We hope that you might consider sharing the gift of the education you received at St. Joan of Arc School with the boys and girls who now sit where you sat and walk the halls you walked when you were a student here.

As always we thank you for your generous concern. Permit us to extend to you and your family a Blessed and Happy Christmas and New Year.
